I am writing my story out!

Right now I am at 61,000 words of my story and probably have around 20-30,000 more words to go. Why am I writing my story you may ask? For a couple of reasons:

  1. To Change Me: as I have started writing, I have learned so much about me. I have been able to connect the dots on so many bad things in the past. I have been able to say, wow that is why I did that and that led to that! I am able to say wow, this is why I act like this today. This has been a HUGE insight into how I am and how I think today! I can honestly say this has changed so much inside of me!
  2. To Help Someone: As I talk with people, I can pull from something that I wrote down. You see, we don’t remember everything so as we write out our story, it makes us think about that during conversations that we have with people. So this makes it fresh in our minds to pull from to help the people around us when we need to use a part of our story.
  3. For The Future: This also prepares us so that when God opens doors, we will be able to walk right through the door that he opens. By writing our story, it makes it where if a church says I need you next week, guess what? I probably can pull that off since I have so much written out then all I have to do is find out how much time I have and can cater what I have already written out for that time.
  4. For Books: We will be writing many books and this gives me a place to pull from since it is fresh in my mind because all books we write will have parts of our story mixed in the books as that is how to be best relatable with people.

I honestly believe that every person should write out their story and you should talk this over with your spouse because a part of this story will be yours together! Both of you can help each other with that part to remember things and how things have been.

You should make a minimum goal of 50,000 words for your story and here is why. If you don’t make that a minimum amount then guess what you will do? You will not write every part of your story out. You will skip over the hard parts and that defeats the whole purpose of doing this.

When you make that your minimum goal then it stretches you to write EVERYTHING because that is the only way you will make writing your story out work for you in order for you to grow from it!
