Why The Royal Wedding Matters!

For the past few days all we have heard about is the Royal Wedding happening between Prince Harry & Meghan Markle. So many people are on both sides talking about the wedding. Some on social media are hating on all this attention while many are drooling over the love story they have.

On the surface it looks like an amazing love story. I hope and pray what we see is who both of them really are. I do believe though they are but only time will tell.

So many people are talking about how much Meghan is changing the Royal family and bringing diversity into the family. That does matter and I applaud her for helping make historic changes like that but that’s not where I am going with this article.

Some people think I am idealistic and that’s OK. I have always been the type of guy that seen the positive side of things. In reality, it’s the only way to be.

So why does this wedding really matter you may say? I have watched so many women on social media swooning over the fairy-tale they are seeing before their eyes. For the longest time many women have given up on that prince charming and decided they don’t need a man in their lives.

This wedding is bringing back hope for marriages. It is bringing back that feeling in some women that have been so independent for so long that they too might can fight someone. It is bringing back the desire to get married.

When you look at the scope of everything, marriage is at the forefront of this wedding. Marriage for a while has been a negative in so many peoples eyes. many have just given up on marriage but I don’t believe that is what God wants of our world. God loves marriage and he destined many people for marriage. They just have to believe again.

The Royal wedding is bringing belief back into people about marriage. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see an uptick in weddings in the next 1-2 years because hope is being restored.

When women see what is happening, to some degree it has many women asking themselves “What if?”

What if God has their Prince Charming out there? Could they really go for love one more time? Could they believe just one more time? There are women who have some of that hope and belief back because of this wedding.

That is why The Royal Wedding matters, because the fairy-tale is alive and well. We all want that kind of life. We all want the kind of marriage that God has for us. It’s just that many have lost all hope.

What if God’s plan is to use this wedding to restore hope into people that marriage can work? What if he is using this wedding to restore belief back into people that love is worth the fight. What if he is restoring marriage back to him?

Did you watch the sermon on love? That was powerful! 1-2 billion people saw that sermon and it became the most tweeted part of the wedding. That’s the power of God. Just when you thought the idea of God was weaning, you have a moment. This moment placed God back in the forefront of peoples minds and hearts.

So much about everything around this wedding, God is going to use to restore love back in people.

Am I saying this changes everything? Of course not but I am saying that I am seeing God use this magical moment for his glory. I am seeing people talk about things that you haven’t seen a lot of lately and thats actually refreshing.

This story is far from over and I believe God is ready to take his people from where they are and add so much love back into their lives, everything will change. All he needs is people’s hearts to open back to him and for some people, as crazy as it may sound, their hearts will be open from all of this.

I am not naive to think this is everything. I get it but I want people to understand that there could be a bigger picture happening in front of all of us on purpose and a part of that was the Royal wedding!

Just my thoughts on all this. My wife and I watched some of the wedding and we did enjoy what we saw. Their amazing story does intrigue us just like others. I hope that their marriage is as passionate as the wedding was and last forever. We all like a happy ending!

I hope what I am seeing is real and God is using this time to bring love back into peoples hearts because he knows we all need a dose of that! Only time will tell but as for Sandy and I, we have always believed in love and marriage!
